Uninstall some programs, files, etc. You've just about used up all of your hard-drive space. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall things that you are NOT using and don't need. Go to run, type "msconfig", and under the startup tab, uncheck all of the items that are not necessary to run at startup, click "ok", then click "yes" to reboot. Install more ram, at least another 512 stick, or a 1gig stick. defrag your hard-drive as well, this will help it to run faster and more smoothly.

First do a disk cleanup then go to control panel, open Internet settings delete all cookies and temporary Internet files. Right click on your hard drive in My Computer click tools click Defragment now.
If you see a lot of red bars in the color map you will see a big improvement after it is cleaned up.
50 Gig on a 60 Gig drive is really to full try to uninstall some programs you never use.

Try not loading up those start-up items and/or remove your virus scanner (if you got any) cause those slow up the computer. If you would like to know how to do the first option, here's how:
Go to Run.
Type msconfig.
Uncheck the box that says "Load Start-up items."
Then, restart your computer and see if there's any improvement. :)
GOODLUCK. :)

Add more ram and you should see a noticeable improvement immediately. I would recommend at least another 1Gb.
