It's so much fun playing poker with friends, drinking beer, laughing and joking around... tournament poker is deprived! The prizes aren't even worth that much....

Because everybody plays so tight in those tournaments, and the players know each other so well, they know not to bet into each other. It does get boring. Sometimes you need a loud mouth or a wild card to liven things up. They are actually strategizing instead of gambling, and thats the difference.

What!! Boring? Not worth it? Sorry, but I play poker for a living and it's definitely not boring, and it's definitely WORTH IT......
Now heard me out, it's my job, so I take it very seriously, but for you I understand, you want have fun with your friends in your home games. There is nothing wrong with that.
