I have always had stick shifts, but now I've heard the new automatic paddle shifter in the cooper s may be a little faster than the manual, is it really possible?

Driving the Mini Cooper S with an automatic transmission is like eating pizza with a knife and fork --- its not meant to be done that way :)

The Mini Cooper S isn't the fastest of car out there but driving it with stick shift makes the experience a million times more fun, especially with its solid base and exceptional handling. Forget about the automatic flappy paddle nonsense.. its not a Lambo or a Ferrari :) Stick to the 6-speed manual gearbox and I promise you wont regret it..
