I seem to be deleting as many answers as I leave up. I have my own self violation system!
I deleted my last answer because I was being deliberately obtuse. I decided I was being mean, so I flushed my answer.

I often delete my answers when I'm in a bad mood. Cause it often come out in my reply.

i have finished it some situations....when I've felt like a finished fool later, after answering. And a pair situations after i realized i did not understand the question fairly correct (you know the way it truly is at the same time as your mind is going swifter than your wondering options! LOL). yet - i won't be able to delete this!! (LOL)

I only have once so far.. as I gave an answer... then realised I had miss-read the question and there was a 'not' in there so my answer then came across as stupid so I deleted it...
...That'll teach me for going on Yahoo Answers at work and not really concentrating!! lol
...That's the only one time I have though...

Only one. I did it last night because I completely misread a question, gave completely the wrong answer, and added that if anyone had got it wrong that they were quite possibly backwards....Boy did I make myself look like a burk!

I'm the same way. I have a list of things that I don't want to discuss and sometimes I have to remind myself of that. Plus, I don't want to go to a certain level of mean.

iv only deleated about 10 all together lol...cuz ma comp was slow and it put da same answer on 10 times which was kinda ma fault as im inpatient and wouldnt stop clickin da damn sumit box lol

Once posted I leave them, it might not be the answer their looking for but were all entitled to our own opinions, I don't do nasty though.
