Sony is good but Sony doesn't not play some pirated CD's and DVD's but Samsung on the other hand plays all kinds of CD's and DVD's. So I would suggest that you buy Samsung.

I would prefer you sony coz i had the samsung 1 n it causes a lot of problem as the time passes,.........

I personally prefer Plextor to both of these!
If I had to choose though, I'd go with the Sony.

both of them are equally good ... but ur choice should depend on whether u have good sales/service support near your area.
