what helps me is my music, watching a great movie, reading a book i use those to help me block out the days events and relax, and as for understanding myself better i look at what i done with my life, the choices i have made and of course the friends that i keep

You want to understand yourself better?
Try going to a nursing home and reading to the elderly or
just spending time with them...
Volunteer your services at an animal shelter...save a dog/cat's life by socializing with them.
Get in touch with yourself by taking long walks...
