When a CD says 700MB / 80MIN, they are talking about two different things.

700MB is the DATA capacity of the CD - data being any type of files such as program files, spreadsheet files, database files, picture files, or music files such as MP3, AAC, OGG, WAV etc. DATA files can only be read by a computer.

80min is the MUSIC capacity of the CD when duplicating music CD's so that they can be played back on a CD player or a computer.

the songs are coded and stored in a compressed format. In a normal CD where the audio is not compressed you don't get more than 10-20 songs.
