You should not with hold water from him just so he will drink milk, we need to be constantly hydrated. There are so many other resources out there in which to get our daily amount of calcium. Flavored milks are a good option , but I would try ovaltine or something with plenty of vitamins instead of just plain chocolate flavoring. I am a pre-preschool teacher and in the state I live in , we are not allowed to give our toddlers chocolate until the age of 2 at the daycare, because it is not so easy to digest for little tikes. good luck, our taste buds change so often as we grow, he may change his mind in time

Have you tried formula instead of milk? When my daughter was 1 1/2 and we took her off the bottle she refused to drink milk! The doctors said all we could do was make sure she was getting the vitamins and calcium froom other sources, like cheese, yogurt, and even multivitamins. Good luck! Just remember that you're doing the best you can, you can't force you baby to drink what he doesn't want to drink.
