Speaking as someone who had to learn this the hard way, you have to control your temper on your own. Now, there are anger management counselors, but it's ultimately up to you. Pick your battles and think before you speak. You can have a disagreement and not argue. Don't argue over a difference of opinion, it's just an opinion and not something worth losing the one you love because of. And always ask yourslef this before you argue.....Is this worth losing him/her over? I did that and it has worked wonderfully for me. When either of you starts to lose your temper, take a breather. Just get away from each other for a few minutes. Never get physical with each other when angry, if you feel the need to hit something, hit a pillow or a solid door. If you need any further help, I would be happy to assist you any way I can, just e-mail me....I'll do everything I can to help because things will only get worse unless you put a stop to it.

When you first see the signs that tempers are about to fly, you need to walk away from the argument for a while and return to it later when your calm, and in a different frame of mind. It reduces the risk of saying something you will regret.

Hi, If a person rubs me the wrong way and keeps it up. It is very hard for me to control my temper. I am Irish and the saying is true about us Irish people. I try and bite down on the sides of my gums and try to move on. Sometimes a person will not let you move on. So who's fault is it them??? You are right the big mouth who wouldn't let you alone. A Friend.

Maybe you two shouldn't be together. Other then that I suggest going for a walk. Say to the other person I can't stand this I am going for a 30minute walk. Go for the 30 minutes and then come back.
You can probably search anger management and you should find some tips.

when you feel like your temper is about to burst, just engage yourself into something that will make you busy. That way you can deviate what you feel. Like me, whenever i feel like losing my temper with my boyfriend, i just write down first what i want to say... all the bad things i can think off. after that, i will read and i will realize, i dont want to say it to my bf.

Buy a pair of handcuffs and duct tape for your mouth. When you feel anger, tape your mouth up, then handcuff yourself. You will now be under control .

Think before you speak, and when you feel anger...stop and count to 10 before you proceed...
