Why do Men think they are superior than women.?

In the 21st century women walk shoulder to shoulder with men. There is nothing a man does that is off limit to women. Men play football, cricket etc women are not only playing these sports but are even better than men.

Despite what some might "believe". There are indeed two opposing forces at work in our
reality. One flowing from the Source of Life to us. And the other flowing back.
Our ego mind understands these things as positive and negative. Masculine and feminine.
Both men and women suffer from difficulty
with maintaining their self-esteem, (self-love,
self-worth, and self-respect). As we all get
criticized and put down by others, and we both
have insecurity.
I have concluded. And it's a hard pill to swallow, as we have these insecurities that keep us from confronting these things. That masculine individuals tend to deal with thier insecurity by acting bigger then they are. This is due to the masculine force being direct, and more self-centered. Giving masculine individuals a feeling of being bigger than they are.
Feminine individuals tend to deal with their insecurity by being overly critical of others. As the feminine force is more expansive. Giving
feminine individuals a feeling they are smaller than they are.
You can see how this puts us at odds.
But when one understands that human beings are much more complicated than just being male and female. In that there are masculine women and feminine men. It becomes a little easier to understand.

That is quite a generalisation you begin with there. SOME men think they are superior to women, not all. I for one see a woman as an equal to me in every way.

I think a degree of sexism and discrimination today is perceived rather than actual, at least insofar as it is seen as a problem. Men will always find women attractive and to a degree will see them as sex objects. Go and watch a Diet Coke commercial and tell me that women don't act the same way towards men!

You are correct that the sporting arena is open to all now, but alas your statement smacks of sexism again - women are not generally better than men, nor are men generally better than women. Some people are better at things than others - their gender does not always have any corellation with that.

I do think that there are still a number of areas in which women are under-represented or face discrimination, however such things should all be solvable with a positive attitude on the part of the women facing the barriers, and an attidue ot acceptance, respect and equality on the part of those creating the barriers. This isn't something that will happen over night, but less than a hundred years ago, women didn't even have the right to vote - we have come a long way and progress gets faster by the day.

Men are not superior to women. Nor are women superior to men. Too many women have a chip on their shoulder about "useless men" or "chauvanist bastards". I know plenty of sexist people that aren't good at things - men and women! Equality, not special treatment, is what we should all strive for.

Men have greater physical strength and size, women aren't expected by society to make the first move when it comes to dating. It's a trade off in a few hundred different ways, nothing to do with superiority or inferiority.

I believe that the majority of the sexism, coming from either men OR women is from insecurity, and if the guys in your life really do all feel thay they're superior to you for being male, ditch them, they're holding you back.

Go out into a football field and say we are better at it! Geez, we aren't better at EVERYTHING. We were made to be women, which gives us an advantage at areas men do not, and vice versa. However, that's from a non-social point of view, though men are more aggressive than we are for prehistoric reasons. And what of men? would you shun a man in a dress?

P.S. Not all men think they are superior to women. In fact, most don't believe that. But you have jerks on both side of the field ruining it for all of us, men and women alike.

Look I don't think men are superior to women in the grand scheme of things, but come on in athletic competition the best man is going to beat the best woman of any given sport 99.9% of the time. Men as a whole are physically stronger than women. Don't overcompensate.

The fact your reading out the daily mail tells me alot about your self, females will never be superior to men in science/engineering its what men created over hundreds of years, you barely read about women doing anything in history because its just that all they were doing is cooking, socialising and making babies, while men we're out trying to make more effective means of surviving over hundreds of years its going to account to some differences in the brain which can be seen all the time.

Superior in what sense? Of course, on certain factors they are on some other they arent! So this nonsense of complexes are thing of mind. Comparison of football, cricket etc reminds me of the bra-burning days of women lib. What is coming next? Women can carry babies in their womb, men can't? Don't take this issue to ridiculous levels. It is enough to realize that each gender has a specific role to play and realize - who cares who is superior as long as it is fun ;-)

Why do women feel like they have something to prove? Men and women have different strengths and weaknesses. That's just a fact of life. No different than individuals have their strengths and weaknesses. I do not think I am superior, to women. For instance my wife does things better than I do, and I do things better than she does. I have a lot of respect for her, and don't feel that I need to become better than her to prove myself superior. Superior is being secure with what you are, and not feeling that you need to be anything else. So when you see a man that projects himself as superior, do not feel threatened, just laugh inside, because it is his feeling of inferiority that makes him project that image. Not making his same mistake, but modestly knowing your strenghs, will project strengh.
