How about the Toyoto Aygo - I think they do special deals on the new ones and as the registration plate changes today you may be able to get a good deal on a used one or an ex demonstrator? You could also try a car supermarket where all the cars are cheaper than going to a main dealer and will find details on the internet if you search? Good luck and happy driving!

hi, i would say to get a vw or an audi, i have only twice changed from one of these and it was a bad move on both counts, 1 was a rover, as they say dog by name! the other was a pug 306 turbo diesel, this cost me over a £1000 in the first 6months in repairs. i loved the car but it was'nt a good1. my audi a4 at the moment is a peach, i love it! they are a little bit more expensive but they are well worth it and also they hold their value better they dont drop like a stone as soon as you drive them out of the showroom. hope this helps.happy car hunting.xx

I have a mondeo, (taxi car my mates call it ) shes 7 yrs old and i have had her 5yrs. Shes the most reliable car ive had, nothing serious has gone wrong with her (touch wood lol) all the work i have had done has been general wear and tear, ie brakes, clutch etc. Thats not bad going for a 7yr old. She economic to run cheap on insurance and cheap to maintain and having 4 children a good family sized car.

I would recommend a ford focus 1.6 newer model or V.W golf.
But if you fancied a diesel the 2.0 HDI engines found in Peugeot etc.. are good on fuel and reliable quick units.
All the best :)

I would recommend a BMW 1.6, latest plate you can get, test drive one, then test drive an alternative, then you will see what I'm talking about. Good luck!
