I have my period for six days now. For the first 3 days, it's just spots of black blood and the next 3 days, it's jelly-like blood and it's really much jelly blood. My abdominal area and lower back also hurts. Thanks in advance.

The jelly like substance is the uterine lining being pushed out during your period and sometimes it can look black when it comes out although it's actually dark red in color.

As for the pain the reason for the pain it's because your uterus is trying to push that lining out. If the cramping is affecting your ability to function on a daily basis then it needs to be evaluated by a dr. Same with the clots (the lining) if they are bigger than the size of a quarter.
