I've heard that you can use either strips of copper ( I think pennies work too ) or zinc and put them under the shingles near the peak of the roof. They have to be showing like in the spaces between the shingles. When it rains their is a chemical reaction which runs down the roof and makes it an unhabitable place for mold to grow. I have mold too but I haven't tried this method. Maybe this summer.....
