Almost every architectural style has been laid down on high rise buildings, more or less successfully. Unless you want to talk about mirror wall and vertical spandrill, I don't believe you will find styles like Georgian in houses. Usually the reference is to an architect when there is one, like Meisian.
Depending what you mean by typology, the different methods of construction - inner core, post and beam, external bracing, etc., can be categorized.
