Among the constituents of air, water vapour and carbon dioxide are meteorologically important as they strongly absorb the terrestial radiation emitted by the earth's surface and re-emit the radiation, in part downwards producing green house effect in the lower troposphere.Otherwise extreme cold conditions may prevail. No water vapour means no clouds and no rainfall .Trees may not survive without carbon di oxide leading to desert conditions. In short the temperature conditions will be extreme on both sides on the surface with proportional swing in the upper portions of the tropophere.
