I got pregnant on the pill with my second baby( and no I didnt miss a tablet, took them at the same time everyday etc etc) my doctor told me that if taken for long periods of time your body becomes imune to them so after 6 months stop taking them for 4 weeks and refrain from sex so your body can relax before you start to take them again

.02% if taken properly, but most people don't take it properly.

They get diarrhea or vomiting, take a medicine (such as certain antibiotics) that interferes with the pill, or just plain miss pills or don't take them at consistent times.

The importance of consistent time drops with the strength of the hormones, however most women take low-estrogen birth control.

The time in which she misses pills is pretty important too. If she misses/takes at wrong time in the first week of pills chances of pregnancy dramatically go up.

Also, a woman must be taking it for one whole month for it to be effective the first time or after a mishap.

And, the longer she's been on the pill the less likely an accidental pregnancy is.

Average is more like 13% failure rate.

well nothing is 100% besides not having sex at all. If the pill is taken correctly it should be 99% effective, so that should leave little room for error, however people manage to get pregnant on the pill all the time which is due to them not taking it correctly.

Well they have not found anything that is 100%, even the pill. They say the pill is suppost to be 99 % full prove, but some have shown that is not the case in all cases.

None of the contraceptives in the medical world are 100% effective

Use a pill in conjuction with a barrier method like spermicide, diaphragm or condom for the best results.

Besides preventing pregnancy, barrier methods also prevent the spread of STD's

All the best

Very possible if you are not taking the pill at around the same time each day or you are forgetting to take one. They usually recommend you're on them at least three months before completely effective.
