And I speak from experience. :)

It sounds to me like you may have had a bit of break-through bleeding (i.e, when the body struggles a little to stop the period from coming as its trying to maintain the pregnancy) its really common and some women even get a little bleed every month for the first three months when their period should have been due. The fact that the line is faint is merely because you are early on in your pregnancy and your urine probably doesnt contain alot of the pregnancy hormone at this stage. I think you can rest assured that you are having a baby!! Congrats and goodluck x

you can get false negative results, but never a flase positive, these tests detect the level of pregnancy hormone in your urine, and you must have had some hormone to get a faint line in the first place, so if you havnt had a full bleed, i would take another test first thing in the morn, or wait till you are realy needing the loo without drinking too much as it will dilute the urine, and take another test. this might sound mad, but the pound shop sell them, and they are easy to use, my friend used these when she found out she was pregnant, so no need to waste alot of money on the ones with the big brand expense attached, good luk.

Sounds like you're pregnant!
The line doesn't have to be really dark to be positive. Some women don't have a high hormone level and the line doesn't show up as dark. Go to the dr and get it checked out for a true positive reading.

faint line still means positive result as long as it was before 10 minutes that you looked at the test. Retest in a few days to be sure.

wait a day or so and take another test. You could be pregnant, or possibly in the stage of a very early miscarriage. If you're still uncertain after that go to a doctor. They can do a blood test which is far more accurate.

You can get a false negative, but not a false positive. Any line at all means positive. Congratulations!!

It's unusual, but not impossible, to get a false positive test. Give it a few days and try again - I hope you get the result you're looking for.
