I am 35 weeks pregnant. I have been back pains and lower tummy pains. As of yesterday i was 1 cm dialated and my cervix was thinning out.... Well i woke up with the WORST and i mean WORST lower back pain then went up to my sides and everything. I Couldnt move, i was in tears, when i would try to sit up or stand up it would make it worse!! i dont think my stomache was tightening up so i dont think it was a contraction ( first time mommy ) I finally was able to stand up and walk and go to the bathroom and the pain isnt as bad. Its not as intense.. My baby is moving here and there.. Does anyone have a clue whats going on before i go into tears again?!?

sounds like contractions to me! the long painful ones. you should be calling you OB or emergency numbers right now. they may want you to come in and be evaluated since you are 1 cm dialated.

CONGRATS ON YOUR BABY

----------- SWEETIE.. at this time in the game , THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NO REASON AT ALL! you are in labor! you need to go to the hospital and let them TELL YOU that you are there for no reason. this is your first child so you dontknow what could be going on.... and that is not a good feeling. TRUST ME SWEETIE. I KNOW FIRST HAND!

doctors are on call and duty 24 hours a day. dont worry about bothering them... they are there being paid... MAKE THEM WORK FOR THAT MONEY

I know first hand... one of my daughters was born at 28 weeks... at 1 lb 2 ozs. my son was born at 36 weeks... and still spent 3 weeks in the NICU...

please go to the hospital... if not for you, for your son

Even if the pain suddenly stopped you still need to go to the doctor to check it out. Your baby is not fully mature yet at 35 weeks, so you should be extra careful

JUST RELAX.
You are in early labour. Have a bath with some nice oils & relax. You might have a while yet to go & you don't want to be tired early on. Make sure your bags packed & everyone knows what's going on just in case you need help.

Just keep telling yourself you are one step closer to meeting your new little baby. It is quite normal for birth to be 36 to 42 weeks.

Also most hospitals will send you home until you are 4cm dilated. Walk around as much as you can this will help speed up the labour.

I will be first time mommy as well. Currently 5 months pregnant, and if I were you, I would get off the computer and get my pregnant as* to the hospital! GO! And good luck, and congrats!
