Its so sad its actually funny. I got a violation notice this morning..... "why?" I hear you ask.
Well last night I posted a question. I got two answers, which were an excelllent help. So I added a little extra to my original question saying thanks to the two people that had answered. I come on line this morning and the question has been removed and I was accused of chatting!!!!!!!!
So let me get this straight, are yahoo actually encouraging people to have no manners? I was always brought up being told that if someone helps you out, you say thankyou. I guess Yahoo have different ideas.
(How long before this one gets removed also).........

And so say all of us ! .. It's riduculous i know . Maybe they should do section named (chat corner ) where people can just go talk the talk without the fear of a violation for doing what comes naturally !
I want to know if any of the people you see asking or answering are actually spies working for YaHoo to watch over you and spy on you (?)

I know - it does make you laugh - you get a warning for being polite yet there are loads of questions and answers out there with swearing and nasty comments in them which have not been removed. Very sad.

is it just some geek at yahoo who does this or are they responding to a complaint from someone. I get annoyed at all the petty reasons I get for my violations, and it seems a bit ridiculous to even bother with it

People complain too much. If your question was actually serious, and you added additional details in saying thank you, then I don't see a reason why you were reported.

hiya rich, im actually with you on this one, happened to a friend of mine on here. manners cost nothing, but obviously on yahoo it costs a lot cos points are not been added etc etc.

that's awful, saying thankyou to someone who helped you should not be considered chatting. something really needs to be done about how violations are done

I know what you mean I've had a few for chatting its like a slap in the face..all most every answer that choose i say thanks. its makes you just leave it to vote..or stop asking....cheers rich T...

oh my, i have had some RIDICULOUS violation notices, but this takes the cake AND the cookie. man that sucks
