There is still the browser history that has a record of all sites you have visited. Also, if you typed anything in a search bar, those keywords are stored by your browser. In addition to this, many websites leave cookies on your computer. The website name is pinned to the cookie.
There are also undeleting programs that can recover files, even those deleted from the Recycle Bin.
You shouldn't have been on naughty sites in the first place!

Yes, it's true. You can, however, download or buy programs that will erase all of this. I use a program called CleanCache 3.0 that I downloaded for free from www.spychecker.com. I can set it up to erase what I want and keep things I need from cookies to temporary internet files to typed URL's. I can also set it to erase what I don't want using a government wiping method that is said to completely erase it from the hard drive using 7 different passes over the data. It's very easy to use. Try it or something like it.

You need to go to the Internet options on IE and delete the Temporary internet files, the "cookies", and the History log.
That's everywhere.

I was sent a bcwipe program by my computer friend and if I run it say 3 times there is no way to obtain deleted things on your computer. One time will do it but as a safety was told to run 2 or 3 times anyway. Over writes the deleted stuff I think it does...the friend is a computer nut (is what I tell him) but is also a programmer etc and very much into high security.
Since am blonde I just do what he tells me about that, kat

In temparory internet folder, it can download the links, icons, small gif and jpg contents appearning on that page and some action script files.... but the sytem track them on storing cookies ... and history file... if you really want to hide the ignore sites... you must first clear the history, delete the cookies files... and then remove temparory internet files to free up disk space...
Sure, you won't find the links later anywhere... but here is one point to remember.. if you visit any **** sites and other sites which are force you to install some desktop content... if you allow them to install, they will link up to your system folder files... like "Calculator", "word pad" etc., as per their name, even the anti spy utilites doen't remove them thinking that they are system files.. even you can't uninstall them easy... becasue, they are still activate on background process... you can find such files knowing their traget by 'right click on desk top item' and choose 'properties' and click on 'find-target' then you can find that they strightly take you away to 'system32' folder and linked with any OS related file... and the background files can be identify on 'Task Manager' by activate that pressing 'Ctrl + Alt + Del' keys all at once... from the screen choose 'Process' and observe, besides system/admn/other groups... you can find some files are owned with current user accounts... you first end all those processings... and later, you can remove such contents..
