Your birthday is YOUR day, and a day you want to be happy... How the hell can you be happy if the person you love...Forgot??... It would turn your "happy" day into a sh*tty day... so yeah.. I would be very hurt if he didn't CARE enough to remember..

LOL, my darling of 20+ years just did that last week, and for the very first time ever. He was sooo stressed about losing his employment contract and he was horrified when he realized what he had done - well, not done.

Of course it didn't bother me at all, I can't compare a missed birthday to loss of livelihood. Like he needed to feel worse!

Now my kids seem to take turns forgetting my birthday, and truthfully, that does hurt. But I shrug it off, because I used to get major guilt trips from my mom whenever I didn't get a card out on time, which was all too often.

I've been married a long ...long time.

My husband (no matter HOW MANY HINTS I DROP) forgets EVERY occasion. I forgive him. I have not choice.

Does it bother me? TO NO END!

Do I forgive him? Yes.

Because I know him very well, after so many years. He does not "forget". He just hates being told what to do.

Does that bother me?

Let's just say....I'm still married...

Marriage is never having to say "I'm Sorry."

And THAT...........is why SO Many marriages FAIL.

Pick your fights......carefully.

Sometimes (MOST times) It JUST AINT THAT SERIOUS!

P.S. You are all invited to my 50th anniversary when it comes up.

(If you can get past the body guards)
