IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU HAVE A BOY OR A GIRL. DONT ABORT YOUR BABY IF SHE IS A GIRL! THIS IS MURDER AND YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER and will feel badly about what you've done! I've seen on TV how pregnant women in India want to know what the sex of their baby is and if it's a girl then they abort their baby girls! Be kind to you baby even if she is a a girl! We are all made in the image of God. God loves that baby you are carrying! Don't do something you'll regret!
What should change are the rules in India..women should not need to 'PAY' a dowry for their husbands! This is why people don't want girls! It's ridiculous. Women and men should decide who they want to marry freely without any parents telling them who to marry. And the women's family should NOT be required to pay for their daughters to have a husband. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!

But why do you want to do it? You and the diagnostic centres in India are allowed to do it only if it medically warranted. Like there could be some biologically/genetic disease susceptibility in which a baby of particular sex may not be viable. In no other case is gender test allowed. The punishments are very deterrent for the person seeking such tests and even harsher for the diagnostic centres. So don't try it. If there are no medical reasons, wait for the surprise from the nature - I assure you that it is worth the wait.

in the UK when you go for your abnomaly scan at 20weeks u are asked if you want to know the sex of the baby.
There is no such thing as a gender test - it is determined thro the scan or thro amnio
Amnio carries a small risk of miscarriage - check with your doctor
I dont think in India you will be offered a test to find out yr baby's sex tho. sorry

gender test is usual done after 4th month. But in India it is illegal. be Happy with whtever you have there are so many people who dont even have kids...
