I want to buy lingerie for my girlfriend, but i want to buy something practical that she will actually enjoy wearing. Should I buy her a cotton bikini? Boy shorts? Teddy? One piece? Lace? Silk?

Well, first you have to know her right size, second you wanna get something you would love to see her in, but at the same time you want her to be comfortable too. I think something silk or silk w/lace and a sexy color like red or black those two colors always look good no matter what you get. Whatever you get she is going to be happy that you put a lot of effort in it and that you got her a gift. Good Man!

I look for fit, comfort and sexiness. You should buy her the type of underwear she wears. For example if she wears bloomers don't buy her thongs because she wouldn't like them. Most women like boy shorts.
If you're interested in her playing dress-up..you can be creative with buying different types of sets or a teddy.
Materials are pretty much open too.

I would never want my man to buy me underwear. It is always a matter of comfort and ease of washing, not of sexiness. What I want from my man is the thoughful gift that says he knows who I am. Peonies, because they are the most romantic flower and not the usual roses. A book of poetry that makes me think. An elegant dinner with caviar and truffles in some out-of-the-way place. A weekend trip to some unique spot, like a ranch-spa in Alberta, or a B&B in Sonoma or Napa Valley wine country (California). Tickets to a concert or a play. The list is endless for me. Perhaps your girlfriend's interests would lead you to find the perfect gift. But not underwear!

Buy lacey french knickers. They're comfy and cute, and make your butt look awesome. Buy her a matching teddy for those special nights.
Or you could try cute pyjamas. Little shorts etc. They're cool.

it depends on what she is wearing already.
i like lingerie that is black, push up, nothing extra on it and i wear only thongs and g-strings.
