i like to control the sides first. not moving your back row is an a+ strat if you can get away with it. But you dont want to get them trapped there. Checkers can be hard because one move can kill your whole strategy. you have to plan on losing some of your checkers, but make sure you keep it as even as possible, an eye for an eye.

I really only know one move, I most usually win the first two games I play with any one after that a good player will beat or tie me every time.
Its pretty simple come out of the single corner. and leave the two in the back row and the one in front of them just as long as possible.

story time, I was about 17 and was beating most of the people around, this old man came in one day, saw the board up on the wall, and ask, Any one around here know any thing about a checker board. That should of been a clue, but I said I did. We played 10 games and I never got a king. He felt sorry for me, took of 4 buttons I got 3 kings, and he got 2. I had him this time I thought. If that old man didn`t take his 2 kings and pen my 3, I eat your hat. I saw it done one out time at a state checker tournament in GA.

I always head straight to their back row and open it up, even if it means losing several pieces it in the beginning. People are more focused on saving their pieces while I would try to get the kings. I also like to sacrifice one or two of my pieces and force my opponent in a position where I would be able to double or triple jump them. In the mean time, I have to make sure to protect my back row, especially the corner with the white square. If the black square next to it is open, it's easy for your opponent to slip in and get a king. As you can tell, I'm obessed with kings.

One approach that works about sixty 5% of the time is Distraction. Make your opponent be alert for a particular piece that you dub bait.make risky possibilities with that one at the same time as secretly, staying probability-free,artwork as a lot as your target.
