well if she is to be on bed rest then that is what they mean. It could be very dangerous for her and the child, if she does not follow the doctors orders, and you let her know that. I don't care how bored on may be, it is the up most that she stay in bed, and not do anything. So you need to make sure when you get home that you pay attention to her, and keep the laundry and house work done, other wise she will use that as a excuss to get up and do something, saying she is bored and there is so much to do around the house. The medical profession just does not go around and pick people out and say hay let put this person on bedrest. Maybe you should have to doctor talk to her, and tell her the risk she is taking with her life, and that of an unborn child's life. You could really lose them both, and i know you do not want that. If you do not have a tv in the bedroom , put it in there. She can't stay in bed all the time, cause you get really sore doing that , you have to get up and sit, and i mean sit, then go back to bed. There are so many things that she could be doing in bed, like if you have a laptop, she could have it in there, and even watch movies on it. She can knit or crochect for the upcoming baby. She can read books, do crossword puzzles, and find the words. She can draw, listen to music, call a friend and talk to them, and a lot more. If she does not follow the doctors order, she could end up in the hospital for the rest of her term, til the baby is born. If you need to have someone go and check on her, or stay with her while your at work, and tell them the rules. so she does not get away with anything. Cause it is really serious when the doctors put a woman on bed rest that is expecting a baby, You tell her for me to listen to you and the doctor, and stay in bed, for her sake and the childs.

read a book? watch tv? video games? talk on the phone? do sudoku? meditate? sleep? listen to the radio? get a laptop that she could use in bed? take up knitting? receive visitors? eat? sing songs? make lists of baby names? sort thru old family photos? start a baby scrapbook? read the newspaper? do her nails?
