Both players voted as top 50 players of all time. Both players won 3 NBA championships. Both players voted to the all rookie team their rookie years. Both players were 7 time All stars. Both players were elected to the Hall of Fame.

McHale 55.4 FG% 17.9 ppg 7.3 rpg
Worthy 52.1 FG% 17.6 ppg 5.1 rpg

Worthy got more steals and assists while McHale blocked more shots.

I'd say its a toss up. I'll go with my favorite McHale. An absolute unbelieveable post player. Players still study his posts moves to this day.

Kevin McHale may have had the best low post moves in the history of the NBA.

It's no knock on Worthy.

I take McHale in this one. And for much more than just his low post game.

Whoa ,thats a good one .As a low post player myself I would have to call this one a tie.I have studied both of these players moves and they basically do the same things.Except that Worthy may run the floor in the transition game better. They both go to the foul line Mchale maybe better at that.Overall I would call this one a tie ,No disrespect to "SHOWTIME"

almost equal. Two different styles so you can't put em up against eachother. Mchale in the Post, Worthy on the wing. Humm. Id say Mchale in the Post!!!

They were about as equal as any two players can get in terms of value...

McHale seems to get more credit though; he was Boston's 2nd best player after Bird, while Worthy was LA's 3rd best player after Magic and Kareem. So, I'll go with McHale.

wow never knew they were that close, virtually the same player. both were power forwards one mostly offensive the other mostly defensive. i dont think u can say one was overall better than the other. i think assuming they played on different teams who would be better or worse with the change i think mchale would be better without bird, but worthy wouldnt be as good without magic johnson.
