Okay so like in the past week there have been like at least 4 questions regarding women asking about their periods and i am just curious as to why they document them so carefully these days? I mean like they know the change in them day to day..like how heavy and the color of the blood etc...and then this ovulation thing..what in the world is that all about?! they are like i ovulated on this day and that...and then they go into detail about what day they took their "BC" pill. Lord knows they cannot say straight up birth control. AND YES THIS IS A QUESTION SO DON'T GO TURNING ME IN SAYING "NOT A QUESTION OR AN ANSWER". seriously is this about getting pregnant or are people seriously having period problems??? please someone explain this phenomenon to me. I had a hysterectomy and i am completely lost not to mention i need to know for my daughter i am raising in all this. If someone can inform me intelligently YES I GIVE BEST ANSWER!

I think they do it to justify their own ansewrs. As for me a period is a period if I have any questions I ask my mom or my Doctor.

some are trying to get pregnant, some are having real problems with having periods that are normal some have one every three or four months then one every two weeks for a couple of months, actually its a terrible mess. and another thing about birth control pills, i dont think doctors explain how to use them, about the second color pill, when to start taking them and to keep doing it. they dont seem to realize you need to be on the pill for a full cycle before you are actually safe from pregnancy, they dont understand about the morning after pills at all. honestly there are so many variations to these problems its really hard to say, and so many young girls dont seem to understand how their bodies work, the mechanics of the menstrual period nor what you wear during one and they are terribly afraid to tell their mothers, I cant figure that one out. I had regular periods, then i got married and i messed up my first month of birth control pills, then after two years i started to bleed every other week so i stopped the pills and went on delfin foam, and got pregnant on that stuff, then eventually i had my tubes tied and figured that was the end to my problems, but i was surprised to find myself pregnant again and having some sort of problem that the doctors said must be an std, so i had surgery and then freezing and burning and all sorts of things, they didnt know what endometriosis was then, but that is what it turned out to be, then i started to bleed constantly and i had tests but no one understood it, so i bled constantly for 3 years or more, before i discovered a doctor that knew about endometriosis but by that time it had turned to cancer, so i had the hysterectomy too, Its really not easy being a woman, now i have told my daughter to be very dilligent about her pap tests and she has hyperplasia of the cervix too but the leep proceedure has saved her from the hysterectomy so far. I do hope you find some clues in my answer for your daughter, thankfully mine is 34 and is the mother of one little girl and shes a smart girl so she will know when lily grows up she will have to keep an eye on this cervical stuff as well but she will have the chance to get vaccinated which will save her from some of the things that can cause cervical cancer. good luck to you.

I keep track or document all my periods to make sure that I didn't have problems with my health. As it turned out by keeping an eye on the pattern it showed me that I was starting to have medical problems. As it turns out I have both endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
