I was wondering if anyone knows what the chances are of being pregnant and still getting a period. I have known of people this happened to, but I don't know how rare this is.

I had my period 2 weeks ago, but starting then I have felt sick to my stomach ever since. Occasional nausea before lunch and sometimes dinner which goes away when I eat, and BM problems almost every day. No other pregnancy symptoms. I always use protection, so it's most likely something else going on, but does anyone know roughly what the chances are of having a period while pregnant? A nearly normal period, not just spotting.

Well my sister had this happen to her and well whats happening to you can be caused by paranoia. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck it must be a duck. Well if you think your pregnant and you feel like your pregnant then you must be pregnant. the only thing is you have normal cycles still. My sister had her cycle until she was 7 months along and I have known a few others like my cousin and a friend that had it happen too. I would say if it bothers you that much to be concerned then take a test and ease your troubled mind. You can also get pregnant on your period or even just before or after. I would say check just be mind comforting.

It is very rare to have a period and be pregnant. The reason for this is that the fertilized egg attaches to the wall of the uterus to begin development. When we have our period the lining of our uterus is shed. The chances of the egg being shed with the lining is very high.
