look at the details..... sorta like reading instructions its kinda important but nobody does it.

It says "during the two finals who was better?"

For the record they faced off against each other 3 times 83-84, 84-85, 86-87.

Kareem was the MVP of the 84-85 Finals. Unfortunately ESPN Classic doesn't have these Finals playing at the moment and I never saw them live, so I'm going to have to go with Abdul-Jabbar

That's a really bad comparison, Kareem is an all-time great, and the Chief was just average before joining the C's. Even if the Celtics won a series it was because of their perimeter guys, Bird, Ainge, DJ (may he rest in peace), McHale even did more. I'm not dissin' the big guy, but he had 2 hall of famers around him.

Kareem obviously.Thats like asking who was better Dennis or Magic Johnson. I did like it when Worthy shoved Parrish into the pole after Mchale necktied Rambis when he was going up for a dunk, Those were a couple of the best finals in history for sure. It doesnt get ant better than those Laker/Celtic series.

MJ is the wonderful....yet my MJ is Magic Johnson ! Magic became a walking triple double. He lead the league in assists lots of situations. He could rebound and score 50 like Jordan at will, yet he'd particularly shop his team in touch. look in any respect the MVPs. look on the college and professional national championships. Lebron needs one ring until now he may even enter this communique. Magic have been given his as a rookie taking part in each and every place interior the NBA finals...nuff mentioned

Hmmm....
Solid role player vs. 6 time mvp. This is tough.... I'm gonna have to get back to you on this.

Before I go let me ask you, who was better in last year's finals: Nowitski or Kapono.
