After three live-action films, I believe Marvel studios should take the continuing storyline animated as it has already done with the Avengers and Iron-Man. That allows Toby and company to participate without being too old to pull it off.
George Reeves, ultimately, was too old to portray Superman.
Sean Connery and Roger Moore went too far with James Bond.
Harrison Ford is about to make a huge mistake with Indy 4.
I'm going to take my kids to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie this spring. The three live-action films never captured the spirit of the comic book. I watched the teaser and full trailer for the new version and was struck by the tone.
I think the TMNT will open the door for new animated movies, especially comic book adaptations. Yes, we have the technology to make live-action adaptations previously beyond the reach of special effects. However, that doesn't ensure a good movie (e.g. Davedevil, Electra, The Punisher, Hulk).

Well, we have Venom in 3, possibly Moon-Wolf or The Lizard as well.
Possible enemies for 4:
Sandman
The Vulture (a 5 minute battle to open the movie would be enough of him)
Hobgoblin
Rhino
Electro (a lot of potential there)
Morbius the Vampire (most likely the producer's choice)

I loved watching Spider-Man the cartoon series but i just cant accept Toby McGuire as Spidy. I also dont like Kirsten Dunst so therefore I've never seen the movies.

I like the Spider-Man movies, but isn't more than 3 movies a little too much?I think after awhile a movie starts losing it's charm.

The first movie was cinematically outstanding. The second was also entertaining. Thus number four has potential however I wouldn't rule out a flop at the box office

I wouldnt doubt it. Sequels are no big surprise anymore. Spidey's got loads of enemies to defeat...could be 10 more sequels after #4.

My question is.... Who will play Spiderman? If the answer is Tobey Maguire then I say yes make it. i'm there. If the answer is..... Jake Gyllenhaal then I am against it. I know Tobey Maguire is getting older, but he is a great Spidey.
