I know it's subjective, and I know you don't get there or anywhere important by being nice, but - who was the pleasantest, kindest, most likeable US President in your opinion?

Jimmy Carter (39th president)

No corruption. No b*******t. Just honesty. Just what you'd expect from a hardworking farmer.

F D Roosevelt

He took over the presidency at the height of the depression in 1933, and instigated a programme of public works (The New Deal) which helped the poor and dispossessed back onto their feet. The most notable of these was the Hoover Dam project.
He was restrained by the isolationism of the U.S. at the start of the 2nd world war, but pushed through 'Lend lease' and other measures to help Britain stand up against Nazi Germany.

The only Blemish on his record is that he oversaw the production of the first atomic bomb, but many would say that he had no choice in this considering Nazi Germany where pursuing the same goal.

He died of an Brain hemorrhage in April 1945 before witnessing the end of the 2nd world war. Most Americans of that period had no idea that he was confined to a wheel chair.

John Quincey Adams was one of the nicest American Presidents. He was a very thoughtful man and also a wit. He was in meeting of Congress once and was slumped in his chair looking towards the ceiling with his eyes closed.
He was addressed by a member of Congress and JQA made no reply. He stayed just as he was. The Congressman asked again for an answer and JQA stayed still, everyone thought he had died.
Then someone said "I don't think you'll have your answer sir, I think he's dead.
At this point JQA replied "I make my answer sir, when I hear a question worthy of my amswer".

Hmmm, good question. Since I haven't really heard of the pleasantness of the various Presidents, I'll just go by the ones who've served while I've been alive. I would pick Jimmy Carter, whose huminatarian efforts are well-publicized. His wife is a darn nice person too.

Richard M Nixon by far...what a job he took on after all the corruption of LBJ...he got the troops out of Vietnam.. opened up trade links in China with the gang of 4 ( Mao, chow en lai, den shau ping and er..)...and put man on the moon!!
He had the best vice as well Spiro Agnew..and Henry Kissenger.
He was intelligent, polite..gave the best speeches, always had time for the underdog and those less fortunate..he was an expert diplomat and knew the power of positive thinking...a pacifist and
a realist.
Good Times...God rest his soul!

I'd go for Carter. He's spent donkey's years seeking peaceful solutions and promoting social and economic justice. Hence he won the Nobel Peace Prize after being nominated for it numerous times. He's spent the past two decades traveling around the globe monitoring elections, promoting human rights, and providing health care and food to the world's poor.

Not being a USA citizen, I would have to say Jimmy Carter. A great man, with a sympathetic view of the world beyond the USA. Doomed not to be re-elected. He wanted to know what the CIA was up to.

Jimmy Carter and he was probably too nice because everybody tried to take advantage of the US such as Iran and the hostage crisis . Kindness in a leader is viewed as weakness by some and strength by others.

You have had one??

Looking back on US presidential History and their coruption, involvements and pesidential careers, there is not much choice.

I would say it would depend on how you look at the subject, do you mean by personalty, term of office, foreign affair involvement? If I was looking at what the president had done for the world, people and nice guy, the closest I would get would be Wilson.
