can anyone suggest a good careet test that will actually suggest what career is best for you rather than saying what your personality type is etc etc

The "gold standard" is in the book "What Color is Your Parachute?" This is used by many career counselors and state labor departments. It finds career choices based on not only your personality, but your strengths, salary requirements, education, future plans, etc. It's available in any bookstore and the quizzes are enclosed.

Those tests are notoriously unreliable. I used to believe in it when i entered the workforce. Today iam in a job for wich i had no aptitude according to such a test.And i'm doing well.
