I usually feel a little sick before my period, and when I get it I feel really sore in my lower abdomen, like someone's punching me over and over.
I am unusually heavy, maternity X 2 on my first day of the week, and my mum is thinking of getting me to see a doctor.

One, Any ideas on what it is and
Two, any tips for this kind of doctor if it's different. I've never been to a doctor for that reason. [obviously.]
P.S. I have never had sex or any children.

Could be fibroids. You really should see a gynocologist. Birth control pills will probably help with these symptoms. Just make sure you are relaxed when you visit this type of doctor. Tension can make the exam uncomfortable.

The nausea is quite normal - your hormones are playing havoc with your body, and the rise in progesteron will cause you to feel sick.
If the soreness bothers you, then a hot water bottle over your tummy can help. If the nausea bothers you, then a prescription for Raglan (generic for metachlopromide) may help.

How old are you? When I first got my period (I was 17), they were hellishly heavy, and I'd go through tampons + pads like there was no tomorrow.

I would recommend going to visit your doctor or OBGYN. I went on the pill about 2 years before I started having sex to control my periods.

I think its one of those premenstrual syndromes it varies in every woman so its normal. I feel sick too before my period. I run temparature, throbbing headaches that makes me feel as if i'd vomit, stomach upsets my dear, we all go through them before our periods though some people don't have any symptom at all.
I don't know how old you but I know you'll definately outgrow it. Afterall its just a 3 - 6 days stuff. Be glad you are seeing it. Most people don't. Still see a gaenacologist. Cheers.

Pls see a gynecologist so that they can check for things such as fibroids and endometriosis (I have this problem) in addition to other things. They can best tell you what is going on.
