Apparently your friends are not very good ones. You are surrounding yourself with people who make you feel bad, and those people are not friends. A true friend should care about your feelings and want to enjoy the good times with you. Next time someone says something degrading to you, please pull them aside and tell them you don't want them to say that about you. It doesn't matter if they are joking, it's hurtful and you shouldnt have to put up with that. If they care about you, they will stop.

Hi. Well those people who make all these harsh comments r actually jealous of u and they try to let u down every time by making unnecessary statements. Such people always look for moments where they can actually make u feel small either by commenting on ur appearance, even though u looks good, or by cutting u in between the conversation and mocking at u for no reason. The cause being that they hear a lot of good things about u but they themselves have never experienced such things. Usually we come to know about these kind of people, n we try not to talk to them, i think its wise if u r a person who don't appriciate shooting back. But never mind these things because only established and good people get to hear all this from others. Believe in urself, u know what u have and u don't need any other person to remind u what u r . Just ignore all these things, don't take it to heart.

Because they're either insensitive and don't know better, or they're insecure about themselves and want to make you feel like they do.
I find that more people than I thought are like the former... they just don't have good friendship etiquette. They think it's humorous to crack hurtful jokes, and expect you to find it has funny as you do. Of course, certain things are simply fact, and one shouldn't get upset over everything. For example, if you are skinny and someone says you are skinny... well, what can you do. If they say you have a big nose, and you know you have a big nose... what are you upset about- the fact that this person is pointing out your flaws, or the fact that you are insecure about your flaw?

because they cant accept the way they look so they take it out on someone else and make them feel bad. whenever someone says that to me i just wave it off, they dont know me so why should they judge me?
if its your friends, well, they tend to say that dont they, who cares what they think. if you're happy with yourself then why should the things they say make a difference?

My dear! Will you please remove the dummy from your name. Do not be a dummy for anyone.
I agree with Fab above, if someone puts you down say something like, well, if you're going to be negative you don't have to worry about talking to me anymore.
Stand up for yourself and try to surround yourself with more positive people.
