my friends brother in law cleared his throat loudly at this very moment as a joke, he realized a little too late it wasn't funny, he was in hot water with everyone. the wedding cost like 20 grand.

not yet, but I would jump up and down obnoxiously at that point if my sister ever marries her current boyfriend. He is actually making her sick keeping her up at night since he doesn't sleep at night, he guilted her home from college, then when she went to a local college to stay closer to home he never let her get her homework done at home. He is a dead beat father of 2, 1 of which he dumps off on her while he either sleeps or visits his mom or friends. He is an ex drug dealer who did way too much of his product and totally messed himself up. He convinced her to lie to her family about him for over a year so we wouldn't know all the bad crap about him right away. My cousin saw a picture of him before meeting him, the first thing she said was that he looks like a pedophile. I tend to agree with her on that one. My whole family would be objecting, including my husband, he as well as I are both protective of her.

There is a lot more, but this is the reason why I would be the one objecting at that point especially.

At my wedding it wasn't in our vows, we just didn't need to ask that.

nope- and I hope I never am. How absolutely rude would that be. If you have to wait until the wedding to say something you should have said it a long time ago...

People that would say that need to realize that it just isn't the right time.

Do you mean shouldn't be? No, never have heard anyone speak up during that question.

We made sure it wasn't part of our vows because we couldn't trust his father to keep quiet.
