I don't want to get a pap smear!

According to the CDC (center for disease control), you should get one 3 years after first sexual intercourse OR, at the age of 21 (whichever comes first).
*It's not that painful to get one done, this is to screen and prevent cervical cancer from spreading! You should also consider the new vaccine that's out for prevention of HPV. .....ask your doc abt it.
***Once you get it done....your doc will get it checked for 3 consecetive negative test annualy then, every 2-3yrs.

You won't have to worry about a pap smear til you are 18 or 21. I did not have my first pap smear til I was 18.
In case you are wondering what it is, it's just a special screening cervical cancer and when caught early enough can be very easy to treat especially in it's earliest or precancerous stages.

You are a bit young yet for paps but please when the time comes you MUST get this done it is for your health, for the sake of a a few minutes with a doctor or nurse who does this procedure every day it could save your life.A pap smear does not detect cancer it looks for the cells which could protentially become cancer in the future if left untreated.

Generally it is about age 18 or when you become sexually active.
I got my first appointment when I was 21 but it might differ with country/state.
Lots of people refuse to go though. You can't be forced to. But it's upto you to face the consequences because they obviously do them for a reason.
I suggest looking up people's experiences getting them. They describe it in detail. Then you'll know exactly what it involves and that people do it all the time, and get over it.
But don't bother with any of that yet, you're far too young to be worrying about that at your age.

pap smears are for girls who are sexually active. quit being afraid of your body. learn about it -all of it. it is you and it's beautiful.

porpoised???? you mean supposed?? you dont need one till you are sexually active or just before you get married, unless you have some sort of physical problem with your periods.
