Something kind of unrealistic....but how do you show them that you are totally serious about it and really want to do it?

Okay you want to do something for someone and that someone doesn't want you to do it --- hmm, why? did that someone give you any reason? Okay you said it's something unrealistic - does it involve money? would it compromise your health/life? is it illegal? are you gonna get in serious trouble if you do this thing? are you a minor?
If it's an honest NO across the board, I guess if you really want to do it, just do it! UNLESS THE OTHER PERSON'S GO-SIGNAL OR PERMISSION IS A PRE-REQUISITE TO YOUR ACTION!
Are you trying to get ideas on how to persuade your parents to allow you to do something "unrealistic" that you already know they wouldn't approve of????????? Sorry, won't help you there!

Explain what's good about what you want to do & that it can't harm you (or anyone else)in any way. But if you wouldn't be footing the bill, the person with money wins! And if you're a minor & the person is your parent, the parent wins.

Try to imagine the situation from their viewpoint --think of justifications that the person can relate to...perhaps a past experience they have had that you can use to connect them to your issue.
If the thing you are trying to accomplish requires trust, you must first establish that trust. Try to bring up examples of how solid your relationship has been with that person.

Good one. Let out your feelings about the situation. Act maturely about it, no joking around. Tell them how much you enjoy doing or learning it. Mention what you do know already. You'll sound experienced....
