Sorry to disappoint you, but you need the redistributable package if you want to do that.

If you're going to burn it, I'd say go to a feind's house (who has cable :P) and download it there.
If you're going to do it only once and you can't get it somewhere else, just use the auto update (to get that that 93MB file instead of 266).
Or if you can wait, you can do this:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx
(4-6 weeks shiping)

Edit: lol @ Loyal B, the kubuntu priest, going around preaching his beliefs. We all know linux is free source, but maybe he just wants to use his PC, not spend half his life configuring it, updating it and emulating windows, so he can run his programs.

that does not sound like the full sp2, it is 266mb, i know because i downloaded it recently and it wasnt a cab file, i just copied it to disc with no problems, go to www.softwarepatch.com and look for it there, you will see the size is 266mb. by the way you can copy it to disc with no worries, i did and you are allowed to

You can not copy it yourself, Microsoft will send it to you if you want it, just go to the site and ask for it.

( And dont listen to Loyal B trying to promote some OS that maybe a 1/10 of computer users have heard of.)

Microsoft sent me that disk for free. Remember those "updates" are really bug fixes that should have been fixed before the software was released. There are dozens of MORE bug fixes AFTER SP2..but dont worry there is a product that is EVEN WORSE than XP. Its called Vista.
Get smart..get open source for free and stop throwing money at problems with Microsoft software. One good source of open source software is kubuntu at www.kubuntu.org.
