many of you seem frustrated with Rudy and McCain... some are bothered by Romney's mormon roots... do these things bother you?

or has someone else caught your eye... that duncan hunter guy... the huckabee (sp?) guy... holding out hope for a Newt sighting? maybe brownback, even though he has some out there ideas?

maybe someone totally different? still a long ways off, but how are you leaning now?

while I don't have anything personal against condi rice... she has said she's not running about 100 times on every TV show... and she seems pretty serious... just saying... don't mean to burst anyone's bubble...

and hey... anything can happen... granted...

I loathe McCain. He is a RINO and in the wrong party. He voted to give illegals part of our social security which is disgusting (so did Hillary and Obama). Romney is one to be watched. Mormon roots mean nothing. I really love Duncan Hunter. I especially agree with his stance on immigration and protection of minors. I like Newt, but I concede that he is too polarizing to be elected. I like Rudy's stance on crime but I don't like Rudy's stance on guns and immigration. He has no intentions of doing anything about the illegals. (His parents were both legal immigrants).

That being said my favorite is Hunter, but I am shooting for Rudy to be nominated. He will have an easier time getting the swing votes and can bring some bi-partisanship to the table. I'll just hope Duncan Hunter is the VP.

Edit: Brownback sucks! He voted to give illegals social security money as well!!!

Edit 2: I wanted Condi to run too, but that's wishful thinking.

I'm technically not a Republican, because most of the time I tilt Democrat, but I do like Romney. I think McCain has a temper and is somewhat of a curmudgeon. I think Rudy is a Democrat in disguise (which isn't a bad thing, I'm just saying many conservatives will have issue with him). Who knows, there's still too much time. Can't wait for it all to get rollin'.

Rudy's lack of morals bothers me. McCain is mental. Could care less that Romney is Mormon, I will not vote for him because when asked about the assault weapons ban, he will not answer the question. Says he supports hunters rights to own "sporting" rifles. Besides, he is from Taxachusetts.

I really like Newt. He will do what is right regardless of the political fallout and he is a freakin genuis. However, he is too polarizing (which does not bother me) but makes him almost unelectable.

I say we, Republicans, beat the Dems at their own game. Currently they have a woman and a black man running. We could one up them by nominating Condi Rice, black woman. I honestly would vote for her, not because she is a woman or black, but because of her intelligence of the world and she is so unpolitical. And she is sexy.

there are only going to be 2 options for who will be president in 08...it will either be al gore(when he decideds to finally run) John mccain.

Not to sound like a bad guy, but nobody will vote for a black or a woman and the other candidates just dotn have enough of a name to win.

Not too sure about any of them. Like the way McCain backs the president though instead of bailing on him like everyone else... Plus he was a stand up guy in Vietnam, that's a good thing.

McCain/Rudy maybe being from mass I have seen how Romney operates and if you think Cheney and haliburton are bad you would have no clue how much Romney would line his and his buddies pockets.

Joe Lieberman. He's the only ethical politician I can think of, though there must be a couple more.
