Yes, that's why I use body wash. Bar soap grosses me out.

I do and that is why I use body wash. However, my husband uses bar soap and when it gets the faintest bit small, he ditches it. I take all of his small bars of soap and grate them with a cheese grater and put them in a decorative bowl and sit it in the bathrooms as an air freshener. It's a good use for the useless things. It's not only pretty (if you use different colors of soap) but also smells good.
Make sure you have a separate cheese grater used solely for the soaps. LOL. I keep that grater in the bathroom under the sink.

I only use bars of soap at the sink in a soap dish to wash hands. For the shower I use body gel called RAINBATH which is put out by Neutrogena. However, when I am washing my hair as well. I just use the suds from my hair to wash most body parts. Rarely do I use the body gel. Incidently they make dispensers that you can mount inside the shower where you can easily use it. This dispenser can hold, conditioner, and body lotion, shampoo. Whatever you decide to put it it. As far as the small hunks of soap, you can break them up, put them in a jar with water, let disolve and use what remains as body gel.

I do too, but I don't have that problem anymore since I went to Wal*Mart & bought a soap dish that has two suction cups on it that attaches to the wall of the shower. I also bought a soap holder which is the size of a bar of soap & has grippers on it to hold the soap in place. Try one or both. I think you'll like them.

What I do is after a shower or bath, get that tiny bar of soap really wet and tag it to a newer bar of soap...and let it dry like that. No more slipping and sliding!

I get liquid soap. Bar soap is so bad in general. I hated that little bar of soap as well so I replaced him.

Try taking all the little bits of soap you have and enclose them in cheese cloth and sew it closed, not only are you getting to use them, but the different sizes give you the feeling of a massage.

I don't use bar soap for that reason, and the fact that it is supposed to be un-sanitary. I like using liquid with a poof. Hope this helps

I saw a lady on HGTV take soap stubs and put them into a thin sock (like one foot of a pantyhose). She tied it shut and used it like a soap-filled scrubber. I thought, "Wow, that is a lot of effort to conserve on soap, which is really cheap." But, it seems like a solution to your soap woes.

once the bars get small, you take them and put them up until you have enough to melt down and make liquid soap.
