You are absolutely NOT TOO OLD!!! You can even do Ballet professionally if you start now or when you are 16 next year, but you have to work very hard to be one. Nobody is too old for anything. ANYTHING!
You can go to Pre-professional Ballet School if you want to do Ballet professionally in future. If not, you can take classes in Comunity Club which offers Ballet Lessons. Find a Teen's Class. If there isn't, try sending feedbacks to them on their websites. The classes are not too expensive and not as stressful compared to Ballet School. It is usually 1h/week in leisure Ballet and you will have to go for class10h/week in Pre-professional School. Pick Your Choice. I truly advice you to follow your heart and Learn Ballet!
Well, if you are truly interested in Ballet, you can go for Children Ballet Class if there are no Ballet Class for your age.You are already very Lucky to start Ballet for your age... It is All Right! You will find that you tend to learn faster than them and after some time, you will be placed in a class with older Students which makes you less awkward. YOU WILL NOT STAY LONG IN CHILDREN CLASS!!! YOU will learn much faster....Trust me! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. YOU CAN DO IT! ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS!
Good luck for you and your Ballet!

Take an adult/youth class to start and see if you have any talent and can pick up things easily. At 15 you are NOT too old to start ballet, realistically though, it will be almost impossible for you to become a professional dancer however, there are some extremely rare exceptions. If you want to progress, you will need classes 4-5 nights/week then all day Saturday and summer intensive programs that can be expensive. Good Luck

hey! the person who said that 15 is too old to be really good is wrong. Darcy Bussell one of the English Royal Ballet principles started learning at 14 which shows that its never to old to become good at something. You dont have to join a class with five year old you can join the adult classes or start in a class with more experienced dancers and work hard to become as good as them. i know it can be embarrasing if you have just started and they have been dancing for a while but remember you will aspire to people and later people will aspire to you. good luck xox

You are no where close to too old. To tell you the truth, I have a dance teacher that started at the age of seventeen and she is positively wonderful. Go for it, and your determination will show!

to be really really really good at it, yes you are too old. but to do it well, to keep good health and just for your entertainment and to ocupy your time you are fine. they should have age groups and/or level groups. call places find out, most of them should do that. or private lessons until you catch up to needed level.
