I recently connected my computer to my TIVO. I'm easily able to move a show from my TIVO to my computer. How can I move a shows from my computer back to my TIVO if I've deleted it from my TIVO?

Hi jcueland,

I don't think that can be dine. The TIVO desktop only allows copying from the TIVO to the computer.

If you are desperate you could put the show on a DVD and play it on a DVD recorder with the input cables plugged into the TIVO. That should work. It would be slow because it would work in real time but it would work.

If the file is in either an Mpeg format or if you want to transfer the .tivo files back, you can. On your pc, there is the folder in My Documents, where the Tivo folder is, put the videos that you want to transfer in that folder. On the Now Playing List on the Tivo, select your computers name on the list. You can find out what the name is of your computer by looking into the tivo desktop program. You can also share pictures and music from your pc.

Here is a list of the file types that tivo will play.
Supported video formats:

Supported video formats from the TiVo Desktop Video tab in the Publish Media section:
• Windows Media Video (.wmv)
• QuickTime Movie (.mov)
• MPEG-4/H.264 (.mp4, .m4v, .mp4v)
• MPEG-2 (.mpg, .mpeg, .mpe, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpv2)
This last paragraph was copied from the Tivo Site and not trying to plagerize them.
