Sometimes, we have no choice on the kind of marriage like for friends in India, Malaysia, and some other places where the parents decide on the marriage.

But of course, with some modern countries, the children are able to find partners of their own liking and interest and definitely these will chose to marry with love.

Whatever the marriage (be it love or arranged) we should respect it without a doubt and work the marriage out. If there are problems, we need to talk it over.

Every relationship has its pros and cons. We just have to communicate.

Arranged marriages. Something that is an almost dead tradition.. Used by royalty ages ago to ensure the lineage of royalty in their families.... Doesn't work these days. A recent example..in British royalty. The woman lost her life and the man is now back with his lover.. If it doesn't work for royalty, can it work at all???People must stop living in the Dark ages and allow others, even their own children to a life where they can choose their own way.

Hon, those of us who live in the United States have NO comprehension of arranged marriages. No one for many hundreds of years haven't had arranged marriages in my family.

I think marriage is personal choice with involves love and the want to be together.

Again, I can't comprehend a marriage being arrnaged. Sounds crazy to me. Sounds barbaric. Sounds like prision. Sounds cruel and controlling. Sounds like it would take a persons heart and soul and take all freedoms from it.

Maternal Grandparents: Arranged marriage, fought a lot, but stuck together and found equilibrium in old age

Paternal Grandparents: Love Marriage, still in love (nearly 60 years), mutual caring and respect

Parents: Love Marriage, great love, humour, connection

I wouldn't advocate arranged marriages in my experience, but marriages can'tbe built on love alone. They require two adults who are willing to put their egos aside to create a couple

My thoughts.... love marriage is a good thing however when you do fall in love, you can always fall out of love ....... arranged marriage is sometimes good and mostly bad..... good because you can learn to love and grow with that one person BUT bad because you might never see eye to eye with that person.... so my thoughts...... It MIGHT work both ways... depends on if whoever is in love or in a arranged marriage sees it.... like if they are willing to work on it or not.... BUT these are just my thoughts....

Take a cold plate and pour hot soup and the soup gets cold gradually. Heat a plate and pour hot soup and the soup remains hot. Love is love if it will remain hot otherwise a lot of people fake love just to get what they want or to get out of what they don't want. Those in arranged marriage learn to love and love grows and remains hot.

Marriages are bonds of LOVE. That is what God intended it to be.

Having marriages being ARRANGED with NO love? That's not a marriage at all ...
