I have to drives. My C drive is for running software only and my secondary G drive is for all my data. Computer works more efficiently when it doesn't have to search through a whole bunch of extraneous data. Also keep your startup to bare minimum. Hope that helps.

if u have to organize ur computer then u should consider the following
1. in c: drive or ur primary drive put only the os
2. all ur installed software should be in d drive
3. if u play games the u should put them in anothe drive (E:)
4. F: drive should be ur backup
5. u could use system mechanic. its a very good utility and has every thing

i have the same setup c: drive for software, other drive for media. works great for me.
