ok, i know vampires are fictional, but go with me. vampires have no reflection, so you can't see them in mirrors. but then wouldn't you not be able to capture them on film, since it makes the picture using the light reflecting off your body? my husband and i are arguing over this, so help me out!

I suppose technically video cameras would not be able to capture the images of the vampires because lens in the camera are used to capture the reflection seen through the lens itself. However, if we truly thought about it how are we able to see the vampires with our own eyes? Our eyes work in a similar way with our lens capturing the reflection of our surroundings so therefore we should not be able to see the vampires since they have no reflection!

Doesn't mean much really. The idea of the mirror is because people used to think that the mirror reflected your soul. If you had no soul, no reflection, so vampires having no souls, would have no reflection. Anything you can see has a reflection, so the idea is meaningless and was just superstition.

I think you could, because they still have a physical form.
They can't be seen in a mirror, because of the theory that a mirror reflects your soul and theirs had been taken.

I suppose logically, no, our Beautiful David Boreanez (whoo if i could spell..lol) would not be able to be captured on film if he were a vampire...I suppose that would go the same for spike too.....: (

well Vampires in the movies are portrayed by actors...so we will never know...sorry
