The way to become a disc jockey is to get a job in a radio station and work as a disc jockey. This may sound impossible, but it isn't. Start out targeting small stations in areas with low population. You have to be willing to work for almost nothing, or even for free for a while. You may also spend a lot of time selling advertising. But. if you have natural talent, you can rise up quickly in the business. If you don't have talent, it takes longer but a couple of minutes spent looking around the radio dial will convince you that, even with no talent at all, you can still make a career out of radio

Start with some good music at parties and at your local parks
You do everything from setting up the stage with loud colors, a good microphone and a few good jokes would add to the delight..Playing to College kids I find are up-front with you, so if you can win them over, that's good.

Work at this and then put our fliers, loud colors again. Do your advertising and then hit some of your local clubs for DJ work, then apply to a radio station. Don't lose hope if you are turned down, try again!
