Yesterday was my birthday and none of my friends even called me. I call and take them out for dinner, etc. So should I confront them?

Thanks some_dude_in_america, I guess life is *petty* isn't it. Thanks for making me feel even worse, like "some_looser_in_america."

Happy birthday! and no, don't do that, that seems kinda petty.

Note: "I call and take them out for dinner, etc." Is why I said it was petty, but since you attacked me, I'll elaborate a bit more. Your sentence there gives me the impression that you do it for gratitude or some sort of recognition or validation from your friends. You want people to know that YOU are a "great" person. That's why it aggravated you when nobody called and said "Happy Birthday". Maybe they're trying to tell you something. There's a clue, catch it.

No, just let it go. Personally I don't like to celebrate my birthday. I would prefer that people forget mine so I can have a normal day.

I don't have friends so they could never forget it in the first place.
But if I were you I would say, "WTF"? I no longer am of any importance to you? I don't matter? I deserve a triple size gift next year!" and then just laugh it off.

maybe you should make plans for your b day ahead of time instead of whining about it now. my friends and i keep track of when our b-days are. maybe your friends just suck and you should just forget about it all together.
