what kind of stuff should you sell on ebay?

I wanna make some extra money..and i figured if i sell somethings on ebay i could make some..but what kinda stuff should you sell?

Sell things that you think people would want to buy. Specific things like popular movies, electronics, brand name clothes, designer label things, popular perfumes, shoes made by popular brands, rare or antique items, and other things like that.

Bad things to sell would be generic looking clothes (i.e. "black sweater", try searching for that on ebay. Thousands will come up, and not many people will have time to search through all the listings until they find one they like), most Cds, heavy things (that will raise the shipping cost), and most books.

Another tip on how to make your listings sell is to make the title as long as you can. Like, if you're selling a pair of shoes, like Converse, you'd want to put "Converse Chuck Taylor High/Low Tops Blue Men's 5 Women's 7" so that there will be a higher chance of the item getting searched for rather than having a really specific title. You also want to have the picture showing on the front page. I rarely look at a listing that doesn't have a picture showing on the main page.

If possible find something that you can resell over and over. This eases the time you spend on posting (=simply Relisting) and shipping (you can thenbuy same shipping carton/envelope in bulk).
For ease of handling I found CDs and DVDs very easy to sell. I also listed some rare framed paintings and posters. What a mistake! Yes, people like to buy rare things on Ebay, but shipping was a major hassle, and even listing was not easy, as I had to take pictures of each item and compose separate prose every time.
By the way, for many things, particularly CDs and DVDs, Amazon.com is a much better market place. You will be able to sell at a fair, fixed price (no auction) and won't have to keep relisting if no one buys.

Most things can be sold on ebay, for a list of item that are not allowed go to www.ebay.co.uk, select the help section and look for section that talks about prohibited items.
