I have had trouble installing WinXP. I have had to use an older version of Windows to install it sometimes. I would use the WinME startup disk but use the XP CD. When prompted, start setup with CD support. When the computer is ready, run A:/setup, and choose Full Installation when prompted.

Another option is to click Start>Run>Browse>CD Drive>Setup. Then run Full Installation.

Do this only if you are unable to install XP the proper way.

You first want to be sure the CD Drive is set to your first boot drive in BIOS. When you turn on the computer it usually say something like; "Press Delete to enter BIOS" or "Press F1" once the CD it set for your first boot drive. Put your XP CD in the Drive and shut down the computer. Then turn it on and Follow the Instructions. Be sure you have the "Key Code" to enter when it asks.
