no robert mathis isnt smaller than dwight freeney who is 6'1 but then again weighs 265 lbs.
that small of a DE would probalby not survive in the NFL. the weight would be the issue. you might be able to turn the corner quick. but once the big guy in front of your squares up. you are a gonner. no technique can remove a 300 lb OT from your body.
5'8. hey you might have the leverage advantage. but you are would have to have some strong legs. to make that your advantage. that size is better suited for CB or SS like bob sanders who is 5'8 and about 200. and he smashes. just ask cedric benson. but he might not remember that hit.

No...The line men are too big and fast. If a guy that is 6-7 330 just gets a nudge on you he will make a successfull enough block to keep you away from the play. I believe R. Mathis of the Indianapolis Colts is the smallest defensive end at....6'2'' 235lbs...There is a guy that is 5'11'' that plays for the 49'ers but he is almost 300lbs.

Not a chance. Smallest DE in the NFL you are probably looking at 6' 4", 265 lbs.

Why not try for RB? Short guys in the NFL are best suited as RBs not thinking crazy trying to be DEs. Barry Sanders is an excellent example of extreme quickness and mass agility needed in a short running back to be successful in the NFL.

You could be a middle linebacker if you put on 40 pounds and showed instincts. You're too light and short to be a good pash rusher in the NFL.
If you started on an NFL defense and I was an offensive coordinator, I'd run right at you 80% of the time and pass in your area 20% of the time.

Best case senario... if... you add at least 30 pounds... and run about a 4.3... you may get to be outside in like a 3-4... if you're like the world's best at beating a block...
and that's if you're like blazing fast... but, it's a long shot... if you're that fast, and that small... you're probably going to be doing something else...
